My mother's family homesteaded in Sequim in the late 1800's. President McKinley granted my great grandfather a section of land to homestead. Unfortunately, that homestead is no longer in the family. I did not have the privilege of growing up in Sequim, but I have wonderful memories of spending many very happy summers here visiting family. I have lived here since 1966 when I moved here to attended Peninsula College in Port Angeles. I met my husband at a YMCA dance and we have been married 49 years. We have 2 grown children, 6 grandchildren and three great grandsons.
I have seen many changes over the years, but I still think Sequim is a " gem" and is a wonderful place in which to live. The weather is great, the people are friendly and the scenery is stunning.
